In Kochi, Kia India unveiled India’s fastest “240kWh” charger for EV passenger vehicles. The South Korean automaker’s Kochi dealership, Incheon Kia, has this DC fast charger installed. All Indian EV owners, not just Kia EV6 customers, can use the fast EV charger to enjoy fast charging options.

Customers can use this charging station at the Kochi dealership to pay per usage. The “150kWh” electric charger for passenger cars, introduced by Kia India in July 2022 and is presently the fastest EV charger in North India, was India’s fastest charger at the time.

Kia uses Electric Global Modular Platform

The Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) platform-based Kia EV6 utilises Kia’s “Opposites United” design philosophy, and Kia India just introduced it in India. With a 528 km range on a full charge, the Kia EV6 helps ease range anxiety. A 350 kW charger can charge the EV6 from 10% to 80% in as little as 18 minutes.

Kia India is committed to providing sustainable transportation solutions by launching its India-centric EV by 2025 in the nation. Kia India released the EV6 as a CBU to test the waters in the nation.
