Mahindra XUV.e8: Design & Features
The design, on the other hand, has been refined enough to distinguish it as an EV. It now has full-width LED light bars that slide into the bumper and a closed-off front grille. Angular cuts, bumper-mounted headlights, and a sharply sculpted bonnet round out the face. The rear end, on the other hand, is quite similar to the ICE-powered XUV700.
The XUV.e8’s measurements have been disclosed by Mahindra to be 4,740mm long, 1,900mm wide, and 1,760mm tall. It will feature a 2,762 mm wheelbase. That implies the XUV.e8 will be 45mm longer, 10mm wider, and 5mm higher than the XUV700, with a 7mm larger wheelbase.
Mahindra has also announced that it would have all-wheel drive and a battery pack with a capacity of up to 80kWh. The power outputs will vary from 230hp to 350hp.
Mahindra & Volkswagen signed a deal
Mahindra and Volkswagen signed an agreement in May of this year to leverage the MEB platform to create their system, which is now the INGLO skateboard platform that will underlie these automobiles. This new platform’s features include the usage of Blade and Prismatic batteries, capacities ranging from 60 to 80kWH, quick charging up to 175kWH, outputs ranging from 170-290kWH, and a 0-100kmph duration of fewer than six seconds. This platform’s cars may be equipped with optional AWD, drive modes, ADAS, and the capacity to handle L2+ autonomous driving.
Dr. Anish Shah, Managing Director and CEO of Mahindra Group, stated of the launch, “We are happy and delighted to display our Born Electric vision.” It gives a strategic direction that is consistent with our basic idea of ‘Rise’ – to be an organisation that is among the greatest in the world while also rising for our planet to combat climate change. Mahindra will provide clients with cutting-edge technology, eye-catching design, world-class goods, and the advantages of global alliances. We anticipate that by 2027, one-quarter of the SUVs we sell will be electric.”
