Tata Blackbird mid-size SUV to rival Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos

Tata BlackBird Suv

A mid-size SUV to challenge the Hyundai Creta for the longest time will be the Tata Blackbird. In our market, the Creta has the mid-size SUV segment’s highest sales volume. The only other product in the sector to secure a distant second place is its twin, the Kia Seltos.

It will initially be positioned in the middle of the Nexon and Harrier, giving it the perfect option for buyers seeking a larger SUV than the Nexon.

The only other product in the sector to secure a distant second place is its twin, the Kia Seltos.  The MG Astor, Skoda Kushaq, and VW Taigun have not presented the Creta with a substantial threat. That is the reason Tata Motors sees a chance to seize and take a sizable portion of this market for itself. Maruti Grand Vitara and the recently debuted Toyota Hyryder are also here to add some flavor.

Tata Blackbird Specifications and Price

Tata BlackBird

The fact that it will be priced competitively and in line with Nexon and Harrier’s prices is more significant. This places it in the ideal range of prices between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 17 lakh, making it available to a wide spectrum of people. Ideal Blackbird candidates will be those seeking a larger SUV than Nexon at a modest cost.

Tata Motors hasn’t yet made any Blackbird-related announcements. However, we might predict that 1.2-liter turbocharged gasoline and 1.5-liter turbocharged diesel engines will be available. Those engines also drive the Nexon. To prevent the larger SUV from seeming underpowered, these may be tuned differently. Speaking of transmissions, both manual and automatic gearboxes are likely to be included. The Blackbird is scheduled to take off between the end of 2022 and the start of 2023.

Tata Motors has not yet made any public statements regarding aesthetics, but we can anticipate the company to have a very contemporary design aesthetic. The bold, combative, and striking looks of Tata products have always drawn attention. CURVV and Avinya, two future products from Tata, serve as indicators of the kind of design language the company is drawn to. It’s practically a given that some of those components will show up in the Blackbird as well.
