The new Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, the first self-charging powerful hybrid electric SUV from Toyota and the first of its kind in India’s B SUV market, was launched by Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM).
The mild hybrid 1.5-liter gasoline engine from Suzuki that will power the Urban Cruiser Hyryder is anticipated to include an idle start/stop capability. It is expected that both automatic and manual transmission choices will be available for this powerplant.
The Urban Cruiser Hider, built on a cutting-edge body structure, is intended for a greener future and offers a rare mix of exceptional dynamic performance, best-in-class running economy, quick acceleration, low emissions, and a comfortable drive.
The Urban Cruiser Hyryder can travel 40% of the distance and 60% of the time in electric (EV) or zero-emission mode thanks to its electric drive transmission with 2WD and robust hybrid electric vehicle design. A 1.5-liter K-series engine with Neo Drive (ISG), 5-speed manual transmission, and 6-speed automatic transmission with 2WD and 4WD options are also options for the new model.

On August 16th, Toyota will debut the eagerly anticipated Urban Cruiser Hyryder midsize SUV. The all-new Toyota will square off against the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos with its Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara cousin.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder Specifications
It has a 1.5-liter engine with the Toyota Hybrid System (THS), an electric drive gearbox, and a self-charging powerful hybrid electric grade that produces 68kW of engine output and 122Nm of torque as well as 59kW of motor output and 141Nm of torque. The engine and motor’s total power output is 85Kw.
